Up at 7:00 and got picked up by my pre arranged Tuk Tuk at 7:30.

Was driven to the bus station and I picked up my ticket.

At 8:30 we departed and I said good bye to beautiful Luang Prabang. The first 3 to 4 hours of the bus journey were fun as the roads went through mountain range and hence it twisted and turned all over the place. The views were amazing though and it was a bit of a challenge trying to take some photos as the bus was rocking all over the place. We had a few stops every couple of hours at some ram shackle villages and besides some bushs for toilet breaks.

But each time the driver didnt give us long to get too relaxed and was incredibly keen to keep on moving. Even when we stopped for lunch at this village, we'd only just finished our noodle soup when the driver suddenly started honking his horn.

Finally got to Vientiane at 6ish and thn I hoped on to a Sawngthaew into town.

Vientiane is an interesting capital as its essentially very quiet. Hardly any traffic or people. I heard some one describe it as a village amongst smaller villages. ut there did apear to be a lot of construction going on. Like Luang Prabang the main street is being resurfaced and repaved. But where as in Luang Prabang the builders were going at break neck speeds in Vientiane the builders seemed to be taking a lot of breaks.
I had noticed that there is avery large chinese community.

Got into the town centre and had to walk a round for a while to find a guest house. First on was full and the second was closed for renovation. Found one on the building site that is the main high street and like the city it self it was rather lifeless.

Checked in and dumped my stuff off and took a shower.

It was dark now as I left the guest house and it had been raining which had converted the high street building site into on large quagmire.

Found an internet cafe where nothing worked. Then found a cafe that did nice food with a movie. Unfortunatly the movie was War of the Worlds (the new one) which blowed.

It was saturday night. Town was dead so I went to bed (im a poet and dont I know it)

It's true - the majority of Tom Cruse's action films do blow. When will he realise he's actually more suited to "acting" roles.
