Un petit blog rapide sur les jolies montagnes d’Al archa, juste en dehors de Bishkek, au Kirgizstan. Ce parc national se trouve a environ 40km du centre ville. James et moi y etions passés en velo mais je voulais vraiment m’y arreter et aller faire de la marche en montagne. Nous y avons passé une tres belle journee sous le soleil. Il avait un peu neigé auparavant et les montagnes étaient magnifiques sous ce ciel bleu.
James connait plutot bien l’endroit sauf qu’il s’est trompé au depart sur le chemin a prendre et nous nous sommes retrouvé du mauvais coté de la riviere a devoir nous faufiler a travers des buissons, a escalader des rochers et finalement a devoir sauter la large riviere qui coulait fort! Toute une aventure!
Une fois du bon coté de la riviere, nous avons pu marcher plus tranquillement et profiter pleinement du paysage. Nous avons passé la journee au calme, sans voir personne jusqu’a 16h ou nous avons finalement croisé 4 marcheurs européens. Parmis eux, 2 francais qui sont partis a pieds depuis la France! Pas de bus, pas d’auto-stop, ils ont marché de la France au Kirgizstan en 2 ans et demi! Incroyable!
Ces photos ont ete prises fin octobre 2013. Vous imaginez combien il doit faire froid en janvier dans cette partie de l’Asie Centrale. En tout cas, le Kirgizstan est vraiment une destination incroyable pour ce qui est des sports en plein air: marche, vélo, randonnées, canyoning, voile sur le lac, ski… Le Kirgizstan, ce sont les Alpes d’Asie! Et encore plus de montagnes a venir dans le prochain blog quand j’ai repris la route de Bishkek a Talas, pour rejoinder Taraz, au Kazakhstan.
Quick little blog on Al Archa Mountain Range outside Bishkek: a lovely place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the capital city. James and I spent a day hiking in the mountains (from 2150m to 3000m and probably above). We got lost at first and went through quite an exciting adventure, jumping over the wide river, rock climbing, going through thick bush, sliding on icy spots…
It was just the 2 of us for hours in the mountains. The air was cold but so refreshing, so clear. We were extremely lucky with the weather and we enjoyed the “Asian Alps” under the sun. At 4pm we ran into 4 Europeans. Among

great feelings up there!them were 2 French tourists who had walked from France to Kyrgyzstan. They didn’t hitch-hike, they didn’t take the bus or the train; they walked to Kyrgyzstan in two and a half years!! Incredible, isn’t it?
I think you’ll enjoy the pics of the mountains wrapped in a scarf of clouds. Kyrgyzstan is so picturesque! It is a fabulous place for outdoor activities. I might be back here someday to ski or do more hiking in the celestial Mountains (Tian Shan).
