Mum and Dad came over to Japan to spend 16 days with me, and together we went to Tokyo, Hiroshima, Miyajima, Himeji, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara and Koya San. A HUGE trip, with so many new sights and experiences, and of course a chance to show them some of what I love about Japan, including many of my friends who they got to meet. Check out the pics.... Sadako's paper cranes- so small she folded them with a needle. The museum was really moving- even more so than the first time I came here.

Great night at the baseball, mostly because of the increadibly amusing crowd. They're so polite that they would wait for the other team's supporters to finish their chants before starting their own!!! Unbelievable

Pretty much everyone in the 23000 people strong crowd had one of these balloons, which they blew up and let of simultaneously at one stage, each making a whistling noise and flying up 20 or so metres in the air. So funny,

Dad and I went up the back where people were drinking to get a beer each, and a man took a liking to Dad so bought him two nomihodai (all you can drink) beer cups so that we could keep refilling all-game long. Turned out a better Fathers' Day pressie than I imagined!

The island was beautiful- the town traditional and small, with many temples such as these, and the mountains with breathtaking views of the inland sea.
