Hi everyone

This is the first opportunity since arriving in Nagoya to add to our travel blog. Busy catching up with family, The Yoshikawas are very generous hosts.

Along with Chie and Nick travelled to Hiroshima, visiting the Peace Park- very beautiful. Could have spent hours in the Museum, although very sad it was also very moving.
Then caught a ferry across to Miyajima Island - can now understand why it is World Heritage listed. Spent the night in a Ryokan - a great experience.

Yesterday we were driven to Ise - an ancient Shinto Temple, most interesting - even better still the Cherry Blossoms were in full bloom along the countryside which mixed in with the other green forest trees look quite magnificent. We have been so lucky to catch the blossoms at their peak in each city. Have even enjoyed a picnic lunch under the cherry trees.

Have messed up attaching the photos, to see them please revisit the first journal, sorry.

Tomorrow we head for Kanazawa - returning to Nagoya on Saturday afternoon.

Cheers for now
Henry and Kath
