So as I travel around Tokyo theres lots of strange things that we wouldnt have in the U.K! Of course they are not really strange just diffent but some are pretty funny/picture worthy so that what this post is about!

Theres also some random stuff in here!

This is the food and arcade section of Ueno, most places seem to have an area like this, a bunch of little side streets crammed with cheap eateries and arcades and bars!

There is one or two vending machines about every 20ft i think! They mostly sell drinks but there are some that have other stuff in but coffee water and soft drinks are dominant!

Actually....
The "mistranslation" you mentioned is meant to be "buffet". A word "smorgasbord" (various esp. savoury dishes as hors d'oeuvres or a buffet meal) happens to be Scandinavian (Swedish) origin, hence somehow ended up in the image of Vikings. You will not find any gigantic, fierce Nordic warriors there, unfortunately. Usually these places offer "all-you-can-eat" deal with some sort of time limits (60-90 minutes) once you pay a fixed price.
