Doraemon, the celebrated robotic cat from the future. Doraemon has a 4 dimensional pocket that he can retrieve lots of different gadgets from. He has no ears, since a mouse ate them. Thus, he hates mice. Also, he is terrible at Jyanken-poi (Rock - Paper - Scissors) since he has no fingers and can only do rock! We know all of this from students, we haven't seen one episode of the anime!

This was one of our Christmas party classes - Simone and I joined our classes together for the day. We played pass the parcel, musical chairs and we sang 12 days of Christmas - each student had to stand up and sing a different part. We had a really fun day.

The students gave us a surprise on our last day and presented us with flowers and asked for another speech! We had already been presented with gifts at the Teacher's party so this was quite overwhelming. We ended our speech by singing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas!"

Two of my favourite students - Haruka (L) and Katsuya (R). Haruka couldn't hold back the tears when she was saying goodbye, which was too much for me! I soon joined her in a weepy goodbye :(

One of Travis' classes. This day we played Balderdash (each contestant makes up the definition) with Christmas phrases that the students didn't know, like "egg nog" or "boxing day". They came up with some hilarious answers. Boxing Day: "the day when Santa hide in a box to scare the children" or Egg Nog: I received a picture of two stick men throwing decorative eggs to each other, so I had to read to the class "um, a game where you throw decorative eggs at each other" and some students guessed this was the real answer! In the picture Takaaki, Shinya, Minori, Azusa, Tatsuki, Travis, Natsumi and Kyoko.
