From Jan 27-31 with Kristine (my first cousin), Brian (her husband), Jeff (his brother) and Uncle Ed. Stayed at Rennaissance Hotel and Tokyu Stay.
Toured the City by using subway. It was a little complicated coz they have a lot of train lines and nobody knows how to speak in english, at that!
Ate a lot of sushi. Food is too expensive. An average meal costs 2 times our regular meal here. And what's surprising was the price of their fastfood, which is almost the same as that of sushi restaurants! Was thinking that since it is Japan, their sushi restaurants is equivalent to our carinderias here.
Loved the sight of Tokyo Tower... they duplicated that of Eiffel but it is 13meters taller than the latter.
Loved the sight of amusement/gimmick center beside Tokyo Dome... galing! I'm sure night life there is a blast (havent tried it though since I went there morning).
I love UNI QLO store (check their website www.uniqlo.com)! The shirts, pants, jackets, etc are very fashionable and affordable! I wish we have that here in Manila. I think it's equivalent here is Giordano but its more premium.
Will I go back to Tokyo? Yeah probably but I want to explore Japan's other areas like Hiroshima, Kyoto and the like.
To summarize, 5 days is not enough for Japan.... pang-Tokyo lang 'yun!
