Hi All, I spent the morning visiting the Peace Park, A-Bomb Dome and Museum. The park is very pretty with loads of Japanese school children learning about the horror of the atomic bomb attack on 6th August 1945. War Crime???
The bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were not "War Crimes" they were acts of war. There were thousands and thousands of war crimes committed during the war but the number committed by the Japanese Dwarf the few committed by the Allies.. The Japanese killed as many as 30 million people . Many defenseless after capture and occupation. The rapes, beheadings, slavery, and starving to death of their captured peoples are the rule of their behavior rather than the exception. These acts are compounded today by the government of Japan by their hiding of these deeds from history that is taught in schools ...Ten more atomic bombings would have been justified in my mind.
