I had been looking forward to Bukit Lawang and its famed Orang-utan for quite some time, so much so that I dreamt about it whilst on Pulau Weh...but not in the way that you might think. We are Amy and Chris and as you may have gathered from reading our blog we are currently making our way around the world on this long anticipated trip!
This trip has been in the planning for years now; it's our passion, our obsession, and the source of endless worry for our poor parents. It's influenced our lives from the books we read to the genre of films we watch, it's inspired language courses and beard growth (Amy and Chris respectively), and has replaced conventional pillow talk with the "Where will we go?" game.

Arghhhh Meena, you can see the bloodlust in her eyes, or maybe it's bananalust?
Brings back memories... That bitch attacked me, I almost became part of that statistic! She threw me on the ground and wrapped her mouth around my arm... The teeth almost broke the skin but our guide gave her a swift right hook and thankfully beat her off... No small feat considering Asian men tend not to be the size of Arnold Swarznegger...
