Cas has renamed Ed as Freckles. The sun has brought them out and he looks sweet. The way his fringe falls means that there is a strip on his right which has them and the part that's hidden from the sun is still pearly clean. Initially he got cross, but has since mellowed and come to terms with his new nickname.
