happy new year

hope you all had a great new year, we did. nick nick and i went down to our fave bar here calleed little wing where they have a live band on everynight and basically anything goes in there! we intended to move on to 1 of the big clubs but never made it as ht e atmosphere was amazing, everyone dancing, singing, swopping drinks and blowing horns!!! we had agreat time, the boys (nick and nick) baught hideous shirts to go out in like vomit on cotton! so needless to say today we havent done a great deal, just chilled round the pool (other nicks pool as we are staying in i complete dive) and ive just had a facial my nick had a massage (oooh errr!) and big nick had a manicure and pedicure. each treatment cost 3 quid its unreal! will miss it in oz as me and carlie have been for quite q few treatments recently when the boys have been watching footy.

so tomorrow we leave big nick and travel over night to mount Bromo in Java, which is still indonisia Jakarta is the capital. Bromo is a live volcano and you can climb sort of aorund it or get a jeep upto the view point and look into the crator, think we will opt for the 2nd option! we met 2 swedes that have been and they tell us that men walk into the volcano twice a day and collect a big bag of sulphur and get paid only 600 rupiah per bag! to put that into context, 16,000 rupiah = 1 pound so they are getting about 10pence for risking their lifes! makes you think about when we moan about our jobs. most hotel workers out here earn 20,000 rp a day working 6am til 11 ish thats not even a quid 50!

anyway now ive made you all appreciate england im off. oh by the way i realised ive been writing blogs but not actually putting them on the page so you will have alot to read now. silly me
