Graduation M.C.
Master of Ceremonies for the evening, and doesnt he look well!!! Dear Friends,
Last night we had the School of Ministry Graduation ceremony. It was a great night and the church was packed full. Its hard to believe that its all over, these past 3 months have flown in but what a fantastic 3 months they have been. I would love a job like this back at home, the whole experience has been fantastic. From administration work, to counseling, to marking assignments, to providing leadership within the class, it has all been a real adventure. I have grown a lot through my job here and God has definitely done a work in my heart. I felt so proud tonight as each of the students went forward to receive their diplomas. Having got to know them well through the duration of the course I have seen very clearly how God has worked on their character and in their hearts. Bronagh and I felt very humbled to be asked to come to the Bible College this year as Deans and tonight I was presented with an award for our services to the course. I was very touched that they would give us recognition in this way as I didn’t see what we were doing
Appreciation Award
Receiving the appreciation gift from the two students who passed with Double Distinction, Bhaskar and Kumie. as a big deal really, just an act of obedience. This morning we all had communion together and all the students shared about the excellence of the course (and having done the same course last year I can vouch for that). The range of subjects and the quality of the teaching is really fantastic. I would encourage anyone to seek God about coming out here to do this course. However, from next summer the course is going to be made available through correspondence so if you are in any way interested in doing it I would really encourage you to, or if you would like to find out more about it please do get in touch, it will do wonders for your walk with God. Please let me know if you would consider it and I can keep you posted about it over the next year etc.
Although this trip was predominately about the School of Ministry course it has really been so much more than that. Just being surrounded by the fellowship here from the people in church has been great. So encouraging and uplifting and doors have opened for me for the future with regards to doing
The Students
All the students on stage after receiving their diplomas. They were a fantastic bunch. further studies and also the relationship with the charity I help to run, A.C.T.S. Ministries, (www.actsministries.co.uk) and our work with the church planting ministry and the Little Hearts Orphanage. Bronagh and myself have had great time of fellowship with Iyyappan who runs the orphanage and Pastor Kumar who runs the Bible college. I feel that our partnership within these organisations has been greatly strengthened and we want to continue to support them as best we can.
I am returning home in a few days’ time and I will be very sad to leave here, I consider this country my second home. We have wonderful friends here who I am very sorry to be leaving. Bronagh and I feel like we have two lives, one in India and one back home but I suppose it’s a good thing to be unsettled as really our true home is in heaven so its better not to get to relaxed in any country, we won’t be staying long!!!
To all of you who have followed our adventure this year can I sincerely thank you. It has been such a blessing to know that you are following this travel blog and to all
The Guests
All the friends and family of the students. of you who left comments along the way again, thank you so so much for your encouragement, it was great to hear from every one of you, you made us feel like we hadn’t been abandoned! Also to everyone who has consistently prayed for us we thank you from the bottom of our hearts, you have paved the way for the work we have been doing here and it has gone so smoothly because of your prayers. And to everyone who helped us financially, thank you so much, you were such a blessing and God will reward you for your generosity. We have represented you on this trip as you all made it possible. Thank you!
If anyone would like myself or Bronagh to come and share about our work here at y
our church service, church meeting, house group, cell group, youth club or whatever then please do let us know, we would jump at the chance to go.
Although I am sad to leave, now that my purpose here is finished I have to say I am looking forward to going home. I have been missing Bronagh and she was a great help to me whenever she was here. It will be good to see her again and all my friends and family back home. God has been good to us both, taking us on this adventure together and He wants to take you on an adventure also. Yours will be different than mine but equally as important, challenging and fulfilling. Make sure you know what that adventure is that He has planned for you, He is willing to tell you but He desires you to seek Him for it because He wants to be wanted and He wants to use you.
May God bless you and may you live your life as a blessing to Him.
Stephen
