Amy and Ankur spent several days with us in Delhi. And we continued to travel with them to Agra and Vanaras.

The vendors often surrounded themselves with their wares such as the many nuts this man had for sale. He is using a scale to determine half a kilo of walnuts.

Hundreds of guests, a lit up dance floor, over 30 wait-staff, a DJ, several different buffet lines, and everyone dressed up in fancy dress, I am not sure Krish knew what hit him.

We arrived at Akbar's Masoleum very early in the morning and many monkeys were out enjoying the early morning peace and quiet.

The Muslim holiday of Eid was being celebrated when we arrived at Fathepur Sikri. Inside the mosque were many booths selling religious and secular gifts for the special Muslim holiday.

Chris got a 200 rupee haircut with a 30 minute body massage while in Varanasi. (200 rupee is about 4 American dollars)

Varanasi is famous for its silks and textiles.

This oil lamp, held by the monk, is waved around a special shrine to ask for good fortune and to answer prayers of those who have come to Varanasi for inspiration.

We rented a boat in the predawn and observed the offerings and praying of the faithful of Varanasi.
