Hi everyone!
I'm back! I took time to download pictures from our day in Agra. Amazing, on all counts!
We left the hotel, as I mentioned earlier, and headed down the streets towards the Taj Mahal. We went early so that we could tour while it was fairly cool outside and before the crowds arrived. Very smart on the part of our tour guide!
The pictures are self-explanatory! Sit back and enjoy!
(P.S. Happy Birthday, Maureen!!! And Happy Birthday to you, Sheila, for tomorrow 'cause I don't know if I'll be able to get to the blog tomorrow at any time. Thinking of you both with love!)
Happy Pat and her gang
Inside the hotel lobbyAbsolutely gorgeous, clean, bright, spectacular chandelier......and incredibly helpful staff!
A dream come true!Lorraine (from North Bay) has waited 55 years for this dream to come true! What a special day for her.
Lynn's lunch plateWhite rice, bread and ????? She's not too adventuresome with this type of food, but she's getting there.....
Check this out! This carpet took 2 women 6 years to make by hand! It sells for $15,000USD (and I didn't buy it either!)

Wow - how do you explain this to a 5yr. old???? I show him the pictures, and try to show him on Granpa's world globe, but that's pretty abstract! He just asks if you're in your green car, and what your friends' name are? Anyway, all to say today - WISH WE WERE THERE!! Didn't realize what India was like either! Thanks!
really enjoying your blog.......wish my brother tim williams happy birthday for me
each day gets more brilliant - wonderful sharing it with all
Wow! It does just break your heart to see such poverty. I can't imagine living in a washroom selling toilet paper for a living. It sure makes retail at the Bay sound a whole lot better. We are blessed in more ways than we can count. Thanks for the reminder. Lynn and Aiden
What contrasts you are seeing in just one day ... the Taj Mahal looks just like in the movies ... really enjoying being part of your journey!
Wow, is about the only word that comes to mind when seeing your fabulous pictures in India. The Taj Mahal is ... well, unreal!!My 9 and 6 year old (today is Matthew's 6th B-Day!)find it all quite fascinating. They loved the picture of you on the elephant, and Matthew spotted the picture of you with his "Nonno" instantly at the Taj Mahal. Thank you for your wonderful journal! Can you please let my Mom (Diane Z.) know that I saw Joanne and all is well. Regards, Tanya Z.
Just got home from Nova Scotia and have been exploring your journey. The pictures and journals are wonderful and give me much insight and nderstanding about your trip. I will look forward to following you around the world on a daily basis now Anne and say hello to Tina for me.
