Following a mission briefing from M and after picking up a few gadgets from Q, we followed in 007's footsteps and checked out the lake city, Udaipur, film location of Octopussy. Our guesthouse had an impressive view of the Lake Palace (Bond's hotel), the Jagmandir Island Palace (Octopussy's lair) and the hilltop Monsoon Palace (the baddies place). Turban & palace

No we didn't give the men in puskar any money but we did send several candles floating down the Ganges in honour of both sides of the family as you will read in our next entry.

Enjoyed reading your blog after having a wonderful lunch. Johns biryani was wonderful and very delicious. Christophers and sophia dessert was scrumptious and not to forget good old uncle backs chicken with methi was lovely as usual. Jonny the turban suits you the saggy turban we did not like. The Elephant picture was lovely mum thought and all the pictures are brilliant. I can't wait to look at your whole backpack holiday Album. Keep writing both its beautiful writing to read.

Sunday Lunch
Thanks for the comment guys. Your lunch sounds delicious but we're not too jealous as the food here is pretty tasty too. Don't think Jonny will be bringing a turban home with him! We are starting a 3 day trek tomorrow which involves elephant trekking so Mum will be very jealous! Love you all xx
