I left Snir, Yogi and Eran in Hampi, not because of any hard feelings but because i had been there for 8 days and decided it was time to move on. In Hampi I met Meir, Roee and Moanne (another three isrealis) and they invited me to Rajastan with them. I do realise that anyone who looks at a map will realise that i've completely zigzaged up and down the country and have absolutely no set plan. This being said I've had a blast. On the way to udaipur we spent a night in Mumbai (bombay) we didn't actually do anything however, part of that was we were too tired and the other part is none of us can afford mumbai.

Udaipur is an amazing city, and we stayed in the prettiest hotel I think i've ever been in. the one really good thing about travelling with isrealis is that they have this unnerving skill at barganing, we were paying 300rps a night for a room and the next lowest price people (including indians) were paying was 700, they was one couple paying 1500 crazy!! The hotel was right on the lake and is one of the places that all the tourist take pictures of during their boat tours.

Roee, Moanne and Leeo (the reason we went to mumbai was to pick up leeo from the airport) only stayed in Udaipur about a day and a half before moving on to Pushkar. Meir and I decided that visiting a place like Udaipur and only seeing the monsoon palace was a complete waste of a beautiful city so we decided to stay an extra day and be hard core tourists.

Our extra day just happened to be valentines day and it was completely amazing. We decided to rent a scooter (Meir drove Indian cities are really not my thing) which made it easy to cover as much ground as possible. We started the day with breakfast on our patio and then went to get the scooter, after a fairly unnerving drive around to find gas we were off. Our first stop was top of the lake to rent a pedal boat. There's a national park on an island in the middle of the lake that we decided to pedal to. it was a fairly excruciatin 40 minutes but we made it out there, only to be turned away because we weren't part of an organized tour. Needless to say i was heart broken, but the amazing scenery quickly made up for it.

Our next stop was a park with a bunch of monuments to soldiers and a museum called the wall of heros. The walk throuh the park was amazing, i was particularly found of the flowers but I think Meir was more impressed with the monuments. Either way we both had a blast. From there we had an excelent tandoori chicken at the german bakery and went off for an organized boat tour of the lower lake. Our boat landed on a palace in the middl;e of the lake that had lifesize elephant carvings along the outside, oh speaking of elephants we got stuck behind on in traffic for about 5 minutes while scooting around the city. We had dinner in a second german bakery along with a couple of bang lassis, the rest of the day is a bit of a blur. We went up to a rooftop to watch the sunset and explored the city a bit more by foot.

All in all it was the best valentines day ever
