been fourteen days, yeah i'm still alive in some place called 'pohir', deep in punjab (off ludhiana city). pretty much goteen used to the ways of the indian people (cept' the drinking of plain tap water & the fact that the cow is the king of the bloody road). been moving around quite a bit, packin' up and heading for the next destination four or five days after arriving: 8 - 11th dec : delhi & gurgaon visited the lotus temple (baha'i faith - such a beautiful religion and temple), parliament area, connaught place, isckond temple (group of hindu's who are strong believers on lord krishna) 11 - 15th dec: chandigarh and kesauli sukna lake, rock garden, chrysanthemum park, and drove up to the hill station kesauli - really beautiful 15th - 20th dec: patiala and ... read more

Well, I didn't manage to catch the 10am bus on Monday morning, I met a bloke from Holland called Ric on Sunday night over a beer and soon it turned into a big group of us from Germany, England, Holland and Ireland. Two guys from Ireland, George and John, were also heading over to Amritsar and were planning on getting the earlier, and quicker, 5am bus on Tuesday morning. I hadn't wanted to get this bus as it meant getting up at 4am and getting a taxi down to Dharamsala to the bus station in the dark, alone. So we arranged to meet at 4.30am on Tuesday morning and go together. I had a nice lazy day on the Monday and happily bumped into Lydia again at dinner time, a quick beer (as you can tell, ... read more

Thank you everyone for your messages and comments, it is so good to hear from you all, if you don't want me sending you reminders about my updates just let me know and I'll stop bugging you! Well, I've spent a few days in Delhi now and am feeling a lot more relaxed about being here and I have my head around things a bit more. I do keep having these weird moments where I wonder what on earth I am doing all the way over here when everyone is all the way over there. Also it's weird not having a job to think about, I know I've only been going for a week so it should just feel the same as being on holiday but its strange, I feel a bit rootless at the moment, ... read more

Well, here I am in India. After my wonderful brother left arather teary eyedmeatthe airport I had a nice uneventful flight, watching friends and eating curry - pretty much like a Friday night at Morrish road to be honest!! I was met at the airport by Ankur, who was holding a sign with my name on it - brilliant!!! Then I was taken to Sanjay and Preeti's apartment. Preeti is Raj's niece - I think, and I worked with Raj at the Healthare Commission, so basically they have no idea who I am, but I was sat down to lunch as soon as I arrived and made to feel very welcome, especially by Neah, there lovely little daughter who never stops talking! It was a typical Indian lunch, just the sort of thing they usually eat ... read more

I live in Indian capital New Delhi, which is known for it’s historic monuments. Yet, I could not find time or urge to visit them for so long. When I finally got chance to visit one of the monuments, Humayun’s Tomb in connection to a story I was doing, I was floored by the marvelous marble structure. I visited it again with my friend from USA. Here, I am sharing my impression of this monument with travelblog readers. When you first come face to face with the majestic Humayun’s Tomb, you can’t help but say: "Oh, I’ve seen that somewhere! It looks like the Taj Mahal, that famous monument to love."  Well, before you stretch your brain too far, let the truth be told. It’s the Taj Mahal that looks like Humayun’s Tomb. The red and ... read more

Eden izmed policajev je sel do stojnice, koder prodajajo fotoaparate, zalozil svojo osebno in dobil fotoaparat ... read more
