Kochi
Waterway in KochiWell after 4 months traveling, just the 2 of us, we will now be a 4-some for a few weeks. Arrived in Kochin after train to meet good friends Derrick and Jillene. This is now the 3rd country that Derrick and I have met up in. The other 2 being Thailand and Indonesia in previous years.
We stayed a night in Kochi. Beautiful coastline all lined up with Chinese fishing nets. Even got to go give them a try. Caught barely anything!
Kept on going to Alleppey where we booked ourselves a 4 person houseboat for the night. Deluxe edition of course! This is one of the must things to do for south India. Had a blast cruising the backwaters of Kerala, just our cook, driver and the 4 of us. Our boat did break down at our night destination, luckily, so they had a group of mechanics there ripping apart our transmission while we had dinner.
Next day did a hungover 8 hr boat ride to Kollam, that I basically slept thru. Cool scenery though when I was awake.
