Left Ramki's early so I could get to the train station to meet Mahaddien at 8:30 am to get the train to Mysore. Unfortunately there wasn't a train until 10:30. So we went for breakfast at my favorite "Hare Krishna" cafe right outside the station ( on the right hand side if your looking for it) . We had a masala dosa ( pancake with masala potatoe curry inside) and a pineapple juice.

The train took 4 hours instead of 3 😞 I found out later that this was the stop/passenger train which stops at every station.

We arrived at about 2 pm and went straight for lunch at the Hotel RRR ( this is just a restaurant not a hotel, in India Hotels are normally restaurants and Lodges are actually places to sleep) We both had a Thali for lunch which was 45 Rs ( 60p ) and it was unlimited and delicious.

We checked into our hotel, at 140 rs per night it was quite good and right in the center. We went and saw the church with 2 spires (see pict ) and then walked to the Mysore palace, the highlight of the city, as

No meat!!
it had special lights on at night we walked into through the main gate and took some picts.

On the walk back we stopped at a cafe for dinner... during the meal my ankles got bitten 15 times.. this became a problem the next day as they got really swollen.
