1: Fun with a camera 12 secs
Trude and I went for a walk in the evening, just around sunset, when people are cooking dinner and children are hanging out in the street. On one deadend street in a part of the neighborhood that is obviously not very well-off (the walls of the houses are made of woven coconut leaves, with cooking over an open fire inside the house), a sweet girl asked us to take her picture. When we did, a swarm of other children gathered around, screaming with excitement to have us take their pictures, too. They got such a tremendous roaring kick out of posing, then rushing to our side to see the image on the camera screen. When we needed to get going, the children were all so incredibly riled up, we had to literally pull them off of us. The parents seems entertained by the whole show, as were we.
