A monkey broke into one of my roomates' bedroom yesterday. She left her balcony door open for about half an hour (luckily, her bedroom door was closed). The monkey went through stuff into her room, shuffled around inside her closet, took a bite of some hair product, completely stole her Aveda hair gel, and left her watch on the balcony. It also left tufts of gray hair all over the bedroom.

Today, another monkey (or the same one?) was hanging out on our balcony for a while. It showed no fear of me whatsoever during our photo shoot.

We hadn't seen these guys for a while, but they're around now; perhaps the recently warmed up weather brings them around again. These monkeys are not cute, they are gross and scary. We've heard loads of stories of monkeys taking things from people, out of their hands, even attacking people. I would chalk these stories up as tall tales, except that a trusted friend actually saw a monkey attacking a woman to get at food.
