Hello all, We took the early train to Chennai this morning. It was great to get out of the city and see the country side. About 5 hours on the train, but they served us lots of snacks and the scenery was interesting. Chennai (formerly Madras) is very different from Bangalore. It's hotter and more humid and it seems like it's more crowded and less prosperous. We were met this morning by Kamala who was Amy's social worker. We were glad to have her along for the trip here but think that we'll be okay without her for the train trip back to Bangalore. You must give your luggage to a porter and race along behind him onto the train. He grabbed one of the kid's middle sized boxcar luggages and tossed it on his head, then popped another on top, put on a back pack and pulled a rolling boxcar behind. I will put the picture here when I get home and have a faster connection. After arriving at our new hotel we went to Kamalas office and she produced Amy's file from 20 years ago from an office filing system that only she knows. There were neatly organized stacks of papers everywhere, on shelves, on desks , chairs and cabinets. Another social worker who knew Amy came in to visit and produced photos also. Tomorrow we will stop to shop for eggs and fresh fruit for the children at Amy's old orphanage before we drive out to the country to see the orphanage and her family. More to come... Jenny
