After spending 3 days in Mumbai, we get up really early to catch the 06.55 Mandovi Express to Goa. We get to the main CST train station at rush hour (manic!) to find our train is delayed by 5 hours! Rubbish! Hiya, we are Dee and Holly from Northampton, England. We left home on 1st October 2009 to see the world and were away for 447 days in total. Our journey started in India, Nepal and Hong Kong then SE Asia then Australia and New Zealand and South America . We were home for Christmas 2010. We were looking forward to finding paradise and the perfect mojito, dabbling in adventure and making new friends along the way. Hey, looks awesome dudes! Bet its like climbing a mountain to find the garden of eden isn't it-the time you've spent preparing and planning and the actuality of being away. Goan Places
I am up and running on-line at last. My new laptop is pink (what a surprise) and has an integral webcam so am ready when you are to make contact. Your pictures look great and I am relaying your adventures to everyone at work as they are interested in what you are up to as well. We stayed at.....
We stayed on the Main Bazaar in Parah Ganj in Delhi, which is a sh1thole but where most backpackers stay cheaply. We stayed in Ajay Guesthouse, which was only ok but a place called Metropolis looked better and had a great rooftop restaurant. We stayed in Arambol and Palolem in Goa and really recommend both places. Can't remember exactly where we stayed but you'll easily find something. In Arambol we walked to the far right of the beach and round the headland to find some quieter rooms with a sea view and breeze! Kinda near Om Ganesh restaurant. In Palolem the beach huts should be good and cheap. Enjoy!!
