Beds on a bus!Hey!
well - as with all travels, our plans have taken a swift turn. Even though the plan was to be in mumbai for a while and then check out something close by,...that's not exactly what happened...on the 15th, we were supposed to star in another bollywood movie, but right when we were about to leave, the scene we were gonna shoot got cancelled (the lead man had had an injury the day before) and so we had to change plans. i think the biggest reason why we left mumbai was the extremely stuffy hotel we were staying in. there was no air circulation, and there were shared bathrooms which turned out to be windowless boxes which made you hotter than you were when you decided to take the 'refreshing shower'. so when the movie was cancelled, we had to come up with plan number 2...which turned out to be a 16 hour sleeper bus to goa! the sleeper bus was very nice - we got beds and it was even air-conditioned (even though the bus driver insisted on turning off the AC at random intervals...waking us up to the extreme heat each and every time!! but at 9 am,
Mumbai
our hot & stuffy room - check out the number of waterbottles on the floor! we finally got to goa (mapuso to be exact) and took a cab to a beach called anjuna beach.
Anjuna Beach is a quiet beach with lots of restaurants, but not too much night life, as we were dissappointed to discover! but we still spent the day walking around, eating good food, and in the evening we stayed at a beach bar, drinking and talking to some travellers (met the first finnish guy i've bumped into here in india). sorry to cut this short - i'll write more tomorrow!
