Toddlers! Beware mommies! Only a mother can understand the plight of another one! Toddlers are indeed very cute, chubby, little ones whom the world adores and pampers. Their mischief, their broken syllables, and their over expressive way of making you understand, overloads there cuteness. But this cute little one has some very scary aspects. Besides nappy and potty, the most difficult thing to handle is their tantrums. Vacation on the other hand is a much needed medicine for every mother but one with a toddler is a real adventure. Here I am going to jot down some tips from my experience of a beach holiday with my 2 years old toddler. These are just to avoid a grumpy kid and make your travel at ease. 1.Toddlers love surprises!-First rule is pack less of your items and ... read more

We left Vrindavan in the early evening by car. We found a special price for a taxi, so it was cheap - and fast. From Vrindavan to Delhi airport, it is not really a delight to travel this passage by public transport. So in the end, we ended up cheaper with the car, we think. We had a bit of a stupid flight. At 11pm we flew to Mumbai. There we had 4,5 hours to sleep on the airport and then we caught an early flight to Goa. It was the cheapest flight and we saved a night somewhere! Good deal. The bad thing was, that Markus was really feeling sick and also I, Nina, had some minor troubles with my stomach (but nothing serious). Ones we hit the ground in Goa, stepped out of the ... read more

Geo: 15.0419, 73.985And happy Diwali! Our tour of India continues but has slowed down considerably. We decided to spend some time relaxing in Goa for a while to recover from the sensory overload that was North India. We spent a few days in Udaipur. The city itself was beautiful. Set between two lakes, the city palace and majestic hotels and temples were a refreshing difference to the humid, sandy cities that we had visited so far. We wouldn't quite call it 'Venice of the East' as the Rajestan tourism website tries to sell it, but it did have a certain romantic, slightly Disney-esque magical quality to it at times. This was the first accommodation we had stayed at where we could use the kitchen ourselves. We were very excited to buy some local, fresh produce and ... read more

Markus had to fly back home after our visit to Agra because of some work related projects. He planned to be at home for 2 weeks before coming back to India. As I was flexible with my work (a laptop is enough to work for me), I had decided to stay in India for a much needed relaxing time. For quite a while I was looking for a beach spot to make nice walks at the beach without being stared at by random men sitting in bushes and doing.... well, if you have read my blogs from Kerala you probably know what I mean. So I decided to come to Goa this year. But where to go in Goa when you need a quiet place without party, without drinking, without beach hawkers. It took me a ... read more

Geo: 15.0419, 73.985India! Round two. Back to where Anna and I met! This time would be different and more special. We had a month in India so we decided to explore the south. Our first point of call was Goa. Goa is actually the state name and there are plenty of beaches in the north and south. We decided on Agonda Beach in the south. There is plenty of accommodation along the beach which is two kilometres long, quiet and relaxing. It was a couple of weeks from peak season so it was very quiet and deserted almost. The following morning we did a boat tour to visit a few beaches and dolphins. We were disappointed with the trip as the beaches weren't anything special. We did see some dolphins which was really exciting. T he ... read more

This trip was my fourth time to go to beautiful GOA. I have visited Agra, home of Taj Mahal.....Nainnital, a mountainous region with breathtaking views and of course, Delhi, the country's capital with its many glorious fragrances of Sandalwood and Rose as we passed side streets in the downtown area. After a while, you will become accustomed to the horns blowing and the region's wonderful music playing in the distant as we passed in our rickshaws. But this new venture, Goa, was a whole new ballgame. We flew from Delhi to Goa in a 3 1/2 hour flight. The clouds were awesome as we headed to Goa with turbulence along the way and noisy Indians laughing and blocking the aisles as the flight attendants made their ways to thirsty guests. One thrill that we both had ... read more

To nebránilo v příjemné a zajímavé konverzaci. Po dlouhé... read more
