We believe that we spent a few days in paradise. We went to Havelock Island where we lived in a nice bamboo hut. There are white sandy beaches, turquoise sea and a very laid back atmosphere.

The Andamans are not yet that developed therefore not very touristy. Up to now it is not possible to find these huge holiday resorts. Unfortunately they were hit seriously by the Tsunami in 2004 and the impacts can still be seen.

We had a fantastic time on Havelock and it was hard for us to leave the islands. We could have stayed much longer and enjoy the easy life over there.

Andamans
Hi Christa Wow, Islands so far in the middle of nowhere! How was diving if you had the time to try? IF you have another chance to go for a Paradise quest, would you give it atry withthe lacadive islands? I heard that they are as beautiful as the Maldives, but totally untouched and therefore, the marine life must be like around bikini atoll. Oh, I envy you for the hundreds of shades of turquoise you saw every day - filling your heart and soul with energy and peace after being so "occupied" by over-friendly, sometimes in their friendlyness even demanding locals. Nonetheless, I do indeed look forward to take you on a trip in my yellow car to the border of lake of constance for a treat at the Hotel Schiff in Mammern on a sunny day in spring after your return and to listen to all your stories you have to tell or do like to share. Big hug and sunny greetings Andrea
