HONG KONG;

Hong Kong is a shoppers paradise. Never ending malls, getting lost is a certainty. As I ventured around a new district each day. Hung Hom, Tsim Sha Tsui , , Central, Causeway Bay, Wan Chai. I was surprised by how few ex-patriots I seen. The population is ninety-eight percent Chinese. Was there a mass exodus in 1997 with the handover of power?

This city is a hive of activity. Markets selling every vegetable one can think of. Fruits, meats and poultry sometimes alive in the form of chickens in cages. All under one roof. But there were problems. Every week bacteria alerts on the news. Municipal authorities would close a market for inspection. The live chickens been the usual suspects.

Sundays are an eventful day. Watching Ruby and her friends play in a womens volleyball league. Afterwards attending a beauty contest, I was given a front seat and asked to be a judge.
