My first longer/harder/faster hike with the weekday hard hikers group
6am Alarm goes off
6.30am Leave house
7.30am Meet rest of group
8.30am Start hike
2.30pm Get home, hot shower, bliss
This group are an evil bunch of speedfreaks, which is fine for 10km, but this was 24km - and the bulk of the group went on to do 10km of very difficult stage 3.
Beautiful, cold day. Scenery absolutely stunning. Taking Scott back on Saturday to do Stage 2 again.
