Day 8 - My week in hotel ended today. Packed up and moved to the youth hostel. What it lacks in facilities, it more than makes up for in the view. It's on top of Mt. Davis.
Day 9 - Took the tram from Kennedy town to Shau Kei Wan, the full length of the line. Tried some street food, turned out to be battered assorted vegetables but there's no way of knowing until you take a bite. visited the museum of coastal defences (military) and took the bus to Shek O, a lovely seaside village but a hairy bus ride there, narrow windy mountain roads, flat out on a double decker bus!!!
Day 10 - Another memorable journey, on a glass bottomed cable car to the worlds largest buddah, 34 metre high bronze figure, followed up by a huge vegetarian meal (no meat or alcohol permitted on a holy site).

Been very busy today. Not the best of days - full of rheumatism so I'm a poor help. Dad out on his scooter - buying gin!
