Plane that took us from Beijing to Hong Kong
well thankfully our start to Hong Kong was slightly less eventfull than tyhat of Beijing - taxi was alot easier, however one thing was slightly overlooked - no Hong Kong Dollars - I thought that chinese yen could be used here - d'oh! but after a quick stop at the beaureau de change we were on our way to our next destination.

We arrived at the hotel which is situated right next to what can only be described as hong kongs eqivilant to walfords market, only with more fish stalls! nice! once inside hotel is good - our room is located on the top floor - floor 28 - blimey! we both feltslightly queezie when looking out of the window, but we have got a magnificent view of the habour.

We headed out on our first night - one mission ahead of us - get a taxi! after some of the problems we had trying to hail them down in Beijing this could be interesting. after about 20mins of standing in the very muggy streets of Hong Kong (still about 30deg @ 7.30pm) we managed to grab a taxi. the taxi was taking us across town to "the best

peking duck restaurant" - recommended by reception. upon arrival we felt slightly ubnder dressed, but werent too bothered and headed in. to our delight the food was fantastic - well impressed. you should have seen the duck that were flying around - not litterally - would have been interesting if you had to catch it before you ate it!

today we are off to see the Golden Budda - should be interesting!
