Here we are in Hong Kong, it has been three days since we have been here and we are having a really great time visiting Cecile, Raphaelle's long time friend ( 16 years exactly ! private joke) who has been living there for 2 years. She lives right above Central which is the central area of Honk Kong, as you could have easily figured.
After a really silly journey from Shanghai to Hong Kong that took us more than ten hours (with a transit through Seoul, don't even ask ....They have a nice airport though.), we arrived in Hong Kong which is a really nice Asian city as we are getting to know them a little bit. It is really modern and very impressive with thousands of Buildings everywhere.
We enjoyed a lot all the views we saw: during the day, at night, and even under the rain we had during the first day we were there... you can take the ferry to go from Hong Kong Island to Kowloon (0.2 euros) and have a very good view of the bay, it is very nice. We also went to the Peak, which is the top of Hong Kong,
very impressive.
Our favorites during our stay in Hong Kong were :
- the beaches (the first since we started the trip....), Hong kong has dozens of beaches, which are very close to the center.
- the Dim Sum : they have 100 of different kinds : buns, steamed, fried, sweet (not so good), wrapped in lotus leaves or even filled with meat with barbecue sauce !
- Cecile's terrasse : we had dinner there with cecile's French friends for the presidential elections ( Champagne !)
- Stanley Markets with all the fabric stands...
- And the Airport Express: You can check your luggage at the subway station (they have airport counters) in the morning and they go straight into your plane ! This is so modern, it is amazing.
THank You So Much Cecile for showing is Hong Kong so well !
NEXT STOP : MYANMAR / BIRMANIE !!!! This is going to be a very exciting country to discover , we have no idea what to expect.

Merci les filles ! C etait trop cool de vous avoir , Raph merci d avoir tenu ta promesse et d etre venu me voir ici, a moi maintenant de venir te voir tres vite a London ! Bon voyage a vous deux avec un mot d ordre HAVE FUN et un commandement profiter et non pas penser a la Baule !!!! lol
