Traditional Dong village cultural show, Guangxi, China This morning I sweated out all the alcohol consumed last night by walking up a local hill to check out a pagoda. What we were told was a thirty minute climb, tured out to be only ten & the pagoda was actually a shelter, so Cormac, Leah & I sat around & chatted for a while. I think Snow was about ready to send out a search party when we returned & was relieved to find out we were merely gasbagging up there, not lost somewhere in the Chinese countryside.
The afternoon was spent at another Dong village where locals put on a cultural show with music, singing & dancing. At the end we were given a shot of home made alcohol which they apparently water down - good thing because I think they force fed Cormac about four shots. Don't know if I liked it but it was sure better than Lao Lao (Laos equivalent), which was about 80% proof & tasted like metho!
