Got up at 9am. The night before met Mikk - this is Estonian guy who i managed to wake when i arrived at the hump hostel. In the morning me and Mikk decided to go to Stone Forest. After the shower I met Ophelie, a French girl who had being studying in Chengdu, Sichaun province. I offered her to come with us. We had some breakfast and met Sophie, from England, Hugh, from England and Sanjay from Seattle, US. Anyways after a breakfast of waffles that looked alot like pnacakes set off for the Stone forest. Lucky we had Hugh and Ophelie with us who knew abit of Mandarin, when we arrived at the bus station we managed to get the ticket down from 100rmb each to 55rmb. The stone forest is about 140km from Kunming, and covers an area of 400square metres. ITs made up of stone formations formed as a result of a chemical mixing with the ran. ITs quite cool to walk through and you'll be sure to find lots of tourist here as it is a big attraction. We took a few photos then got lost amongst the stones for an hour and a half. Tried these

Our driver wearing Sophie's hat and sunnies with Sophie. pretty cool strawberry berries and then had some tomato and egg dish and mushroom and chicken dish. The tomato and egg dish is quite a popular dish with the locals according to Ophelie it was pretty good. Got back to the hostel around 6pm so set off to fnd some grub. After dinner got back to the hump and i called it a night at about 11:00pm because me and Mikk decided we would go to Dali tomorrow and catch a 7:45am bus - which meant getting up at 6:30! all in all the hump was a pretty cool place to stay with plenty of back packers to meet but make sure you bring plenty of insect repelent - there is mosquitos galore!
