Today we left the ship in a pouring rain for our first excursion. We were docked in the village of Fengdu. Our trip took us to The Ghost City, a temple area on top of Ming Mountain. It pays tribute to the King of the Underworld. There were over 400 steps to climb in total. The view from the top was gorgeous even in the rain. The rain stopped on the way back down, of course. We got back to the boat in time for lunch. There was actually some things on the buffet I could recognize! This afternoon the ships doctor is going to talk about acupuncture. Then we will have a talk about The Three Gorges and the Yangtze River. It is nice to chill out for a change. The countryside as we float down the river os very beautiful. It is very woodsy on both sides with apartment buildings here and there. It is still very dreary looking and raining again. Oh well. Talk again later.
