Tian Chi (Heavenly Lake)

On Wednesday of my fall holidays, I went with a group of foreigners to Heavenly Lake, which is a couple of hours away from Urumqi. We hiked around (Chinese hiking is all on boardwalked paths - no roughing it here!), ate at a lovely Uyghur restaurant on site, and kept hiking. It was beautiful. Commentary can't really add anything to the pictures, so I'll let most of them speak for themselves.

Brides get dressed up more than once here. There were several brides and grooms with their photographers getting their pictures in this beautiful setting. They would have been awfully cold, though!
