I felt this city had a similar feel to it as London as some of the buildings area very similar. Again, it is very westernised and some of the newer buildings are very impressive.

We went to the top of the highest building in China and it has the highest observation deck in the world - The Financial Tower. The views here were somewhat phenomenal! It was just a pity that on the day it was a little foggy.

After spending a couple of days here we moved to Xian. Xian is one of the oldest cities in the world. Originally, the city was built within four walls but it has now expanded out of these walls.

Whilst here we also went to see the Terracotta Army. These terracotta warriors were only discovered in 1974 by a local farmer. The story behind these warriors is that Qin Shihuang (the first emperor of China) had an army built to protect his tomb and keep him in power even in the afterlife. There are thought to be over 8000 soldiers, chariots and horses in the three pits!
