Last Sunday we went to the movies to one of the only 2 theaters that show movies in English. We did not have much option; "National Treasure" was the only thing available.

After much thoughts, Omar decided for pop corn instead of the delicious "salty squid", "spicy dried prawn" or the always popular "satay beef". The pop corn had a funny taste... It was a mix of wasabi and candy flavour... It was not salty and it was not sweet, It just did not taste like pop corn.

The movie was OK but when we came back to the hotel, I found in the newspaper an interesting article based on a study done by one of the Universities here. The article was about the things people dislike most in the commercial area of Shanghai and although the things mentioned were quite obvious; I was surprised to see them written in the first page of the paper.
I am sure the following list will give you a sense of what living here is like. Enjoy the list of the top pet peeves in Shanghai:

- Uncontrollable pets
- Trash tossed from high-rise buildings (!)
- Spitting in public
- Hanging wet clothes in side walks
- Shaking dirty blankets from balconies
- General littering
