There once was a girl from Vancouver who traveled to Cuba with a friend for some much needed time away. While there she met a young man on vacation with his family. They became friends and kept in touch for many years. Shanghai development
Actually the entire Pudong area out to the new airport was developed in the 90's. The Bund project was under construction last May when I visited. They were only clearing the area for the Worlds Fair...no environmental impact statements or community hearings for that effort! The entire Worlds Fair grounds and pavilions were completed in less than one year! When the Chinese decide to do something they do it quickly!

I was only able to visit Shanghai for a day and a half, and I loved it! Your pictures brought back great memories! I too hope to go back someday!

Absolutely amazing!!
