we ate at the family-run restaurant in the alley next to my compound. jo & simon tried some kung pao chicken, sweet & sour pork, shredded potato & green pepper, and shanghai bok choy with chinese mushrooms--I think they really enjoyed it!

We waited over 90 minutes to get in. Then we were greeted by one of the princesses (on a screen) in Mandarin. Everyone filled out a ballot for a free trip to the UAE...I wonder who the winner will be?

this pavilion was a little disappointing. it looked really cool...but in the end, there was nothing much to see. and the set-up was quite poor with their different artifacts just spread on the floor. and what's with the packing tape? could they not have used something more professional-looking?
