Well it is now Thursday night, and after about an hour in the phone shop, we have portable WIFI!! So as I sit here at the stadium watching Junior ladies figures between the third and the final figure, I have time to update what has happenned today.
The finally got some sleep, that is the most important point, and means certainly the Snoopsta and I feel a lot better that yesterday. Last night there was some fun during dinner (which did take a while to come) when she was pretty mcuh crying through tiredness, was quite funny to watch 😉. anyway breakfast on the 41st floor this morning was fine, slightly below what you might expect at the sheraton but certainly fine for what we need. After breakfast we went for a walk around the nearby streets looking for some shopping options, and a mobile phone store. Like large amounts of asia, sanitation is a bit rough in parts and rubbish and smells were at times a bit hard to take (snoop was dry reaching) but it is an interesting place regardless. We found a couple of phone shops and try to explain what we were after, but it seem
Wifi internet units are not that popular here. anyway it was a nice walk, and we found a starbucks and a few other interesting places.
Finally we found a Phone store near the Hotel which could help us, so Nigel and I both purchased new phones to use as Internet hubs. Next up was Junior Ladies Figures competition, (thye had trained in the morning) , so we went to the venue for the first two figures. Girls all skated we in Junior Figures, we then came back to the Hotek, as unfortunate due to an outside rink and consistent rain, training was cancelled (no-one had trained all day). So we went to the gym and did some excercise and some off skate practice and then spent some time in the pool and Spa (which was VERy hot). After that it as time to go back for the second two junior figures, we had some little issues with the bus, and ended up having to walk to the venue in the Rain. Both Paige and Jess skated good 3rd and 4th figures, and once they were completed we headed out to try and get back to the Hotel. As per
what is quickly becoming the norm, there was over an hour before the next bus did the 6 minute trip to the Hotel (13 Buses sitting outside the stadium) so we decided to try and get a Taxi. after 5 or so minutes ofo not getting a taxi we decided to walk. After only walking not very far, a random man stopped and try to ask us if we wanted a lift (after a lot of strange communication) we got in a he dropped us off at the Hotel, and refused to take any money for it (thenks Mr Random).
Late night Dinner at the Hotel was Buffett at the Restaurant at the Hotel, which was great (except they tried to pack up Desert before we got to it, but Jenny sorted them out there 😉 ). A whole group of skaters arrived late last night and hopefully we will all get to train today (weather permitting). On the whole things a rolling along quite nicely.
