The photos are from some of my daily activities in the city of Taizhou, Jiangsu Province of China, these past 2 days. There has not been a dull moment, and every day leaves much to ponder. I hope you enjoy them, and thank you for thinking of me on the other side of the world. Perhaps these photos will convey some of the culture shock awaiting any visitor to China:

Im not sure how one catches and prepares these for the dinner table.

teacher workshop. Teachers in blue chairs are waiting for a teaching exhibition. In front, empty little tables and chairs are waiting for the children.

The teacher standing among the pupils is being observed and judged by other teachers and administration. Teachers demonstrate their style of lesson-presentations. I'm glad I didn't have to judge the competition.

Two of the judges, front in the blue chairs, are already waiting for the start of the lesson, each lesson lasting some 45 minutes.

The children fill the basket-ball courts and have their morning exercise accompanied by music.

geez....
those kids have the greatest smiles. but how can they be smiling so much when they are eating toads and snakes? just looking at it makes me gag. how the hell are you managing? haha much love to you

Schneider, you seem to be enjoying it over there in China. Also I have never seen frogs waiting to be picked to eaten at the table or any other kind of that food.
