Here is a statue of the Buddha and behind it are about 8 buildings being constructed. It just seemed very typical of China.

This is the notice for the slide I rode.

The slide/roller luge

I rode up on a sled. A hook on the back of the sled pulled me up from behind.

It's pretty steep!

This is to give you an idea of how steep the ride was at times. Just another one of those things in China that make you think, "How is this legal?" By the way, that's my hair in the bottom of the picture.

I looked at that ride and said Bu Yao, I'm not going to die that way. At your age I would have felt immortal.....At least when I went white water rafting I had a helmet and a life vest. So glad you survived. David
