Chimelong and Kparty

The day started by getting the big scare of having Paris standing over me (I hadn’t heard him come in and he’s quite a scary guy to wake up to) but he had McDonalds breakfast so all was forgiven, a good start to the day. Then quickly get ready and catch the metro one stop away from our station to the Chimelong Paradise are. In the Chimelong area there is the worlds biggest water park, a really big circus and the huge theme park we went to. There were quite a few big roller coasters I was abit apprehensive about so we decided to start with some more sedate rides. The first one we went on got us quite wet. Eventually we went on one with 10 upside-down twists, which made me feel a tad ill, not my favourite ride. Then we watched a show with an American and Chinese cast, it was like a really bad but high budget Chinese movie. It had the most jet skis, motorbikes and fire I have ever seen in show, so still a lot of fun.
After that we decided we were ready and sufficiently full (lots of fish balls

and hot dogs, not a good mix for roller coasters) to try the big one, it was super scary but so much fun, we lined up again straight after and did it again. At Chimelong and also throughout the city in china there is always loud techno music playing (which might explain the video a little)
We bought Chimelong straw hats there and because were also wearing our matching gold jackets we got even more stares then usual.

Then we had to hurry back to the school as the office had some kind of birthday party planned (again at Kparty, but no complaints there) we went to a different KTV than last time, and at this one there was spring rolls at the giant buffet, definitely the highlight of the evening. (Not that it wasn’t a great night, but spring rolls are quite a treat especially after we spent a whole day in search of them a few days earlier only to find all the spring rolls we could eat so close to home). Again we sung my love by West life, I know what song I would certainly sing if ever tried for NZ Idol. Another fun night

at KTV with more cake and more of the Chinese dice game, which I have mastered, Paris not so much.

A great birthday in China, now I go home and try out the cleansing face masks we got give and go to a shopping street to see if I can find some pants and a mosquito net.
