You are in Fuzhou.

"Go SouthEast 60km."

You enter a small town comprised mostly of one long Mainstreet. The road is dusty and the colours on the buildings are faded. Dirt roads stretch from here and there, behind buildings, and towards a line of palm trees that may be hiding the South Chinese Sea. As you move around the town everyone turns and looks at you to stare. Your companion is tired. What do you do?

"Stay for the night."

The first hotel you go to appears abandoned but upon entering is clean and pristine. A frightened girl tells you there are no rooms available. What do you do?

"Look for new hotel."

The second hotel is off a dirt road. It is clean in the inside and a sensous woman with a fancy haircut informs you that there are rooms. For 159RMB a person.

"Ok"

The total is 300RMB. The room is clean has a TV and a computer, there's a slightly funny smell and a cigarette of in the ash tray.

"Take shower".

The hot water burns but the cool water is nice. You feel refreshed.

"Go Outside, Find food and find the beach."

After walking a for about 20 minutes find a small tented place with food. A meal with a few beers totals 50RMB while the chef discretely takes pictures of you from different angles. A first attempt to discover the beach results in a dead end. After four more attempts you give up and return to your hotel room. You meet no one. What do you do.

"Sleep. Write blog first."

Expenses
Food and Beer $8
Hotel: $50
Lotion for Sunburns : $4

"Warm up Part One

Location : Jiangtianzhen, Fujian, China.

So this is our first attempt at long distance biking. We've learned quite a bit and I think a few other things we'll need to prepare for the future. Today with 4 hours of ride time we rode 60km before my travelling companion requested we stop due to a literal pain the ass(Side affect of biking). So for a long term trip we'll need to switch the seats on her bike to something more comfortable. Another thing I'll need to do is put an App on my phone to look for hotels quickly once we get into a town. I really wished for something like "Search for Nearby hotel/hostel", button. It would help with finding the best prices without having to scour the area.

The premise for this trip was to find a beach. According to our maps and my vibe of the ocean, we are like under a km away. But there are too many factories blocking our path. Textile after Textile factory swarm the areas with their walls and large buildings. Not to mention every time we get near any dunes, they are blocked off with a big white wall."
