Last Day with TimLast Day with TimLast Day with Tim

Here is our class, we had asked one of the guards to take our picture.
Through the course of our stay in Beijing, we have had language/culture classes every Monday and Friday afternoon. Mondays we had a student named Tim as our teacher and on Fridays we have Lynn. So since we leave Beijing on Sunday to go on a week long tour of China and then go home on the 30th, today was our last class with Tim. However, we talked him into not even having class, but rather taking us on a field trip. Imparticular we wanted him to take us to a bookstore where we could get materials to help us learn Chinese when we go home. I am so glad that he was able to take us, because otherwise we would never have come across this particular bookstore. While we have been to other bookstores that were much larger in Beijing, this one had the largest selection of books in English. This was most likely because it was near Peking University. After touring the bookstore, we went for dinner with Tim and had some traditional food which he ordered for us. The guard was hillarious! He went out in the middle of the street, where traffic was speeding along in both directions, in order to take the picture.

As for what you all will do when I get back to the United States, I am not sure. I do not think my life is interesting enough to keep blogging every day, so I encourage someone else to go on a trip so we can follow you around. If not, there are plenty of blogs that you could attach yourself to via this website, TravelBlog.

No, the guard is not a midget. For whatever reason, he felt the need to squat down in the middle of the street to take the picture. We were sure he was going to get hit! I think he liked to take pictures, as he was a bit trigger happy.

leaving Beijing
When are you leaving Beijing? You said leaving Monday for a week long tour of China, then leaving on the 30th to come home. There's another week in there! Almost two! Are you still working? Personally, I think you've been playing the entire time! :-) I liked your new name! What was it? Moo lee?
