This blog was created in 2007 when I headed to Perth, Western Australia for a year-long study abroad program. There are still lots of great stories and pictures from that trip, though I got way behind on my blogging and the stories end abruptly in September, 2007 (I was in Aus until Christmas Eve!)

identifying the butterfly
I have been searching the interweb for hrs trying to identify this butterfly. is this the only pic you have of it? Did yyou get a chance to see it close up? What is the design near the center of the wings? (It looks like iot could be part of the swallowtail family.

Glorious Photos
Fantastic photos and perspective of a little-seen portion of the Great Wall. The climb up and down looks difficult and hazardous. Climbing skills and no fear of heights must be necessary - congratulations on making it!
