Yesterday we went by bus to the Vietnam/Cambodian border town of Chau Doc. It wasn't a bad drive through the country side. Lots of rice paddies! We did stop at an outlandishly painted "temple" of the Cao Dai religion. Again, the pictures are on my camera but imagine a religion on psychedelic drugs! Every creature, flower, serpent, religious head, symbol all in bright colors. It was started in Vietnam. And now has 3 million followers. I think we stopped because we needed a break.
Our evening in Chau Doc was otherwise uneventful - except for the dancing!
This morning we took a small boat to a floating village where some of the floating homes were on top of their fish farm. There were thousands of fish under the home we visited. We then took a 5 hour speed boat ride on the Mekong to Phnom Penh. The ride was fun but long. We are now in our very nice hotel room having a scotch! When we got off the boat we had lunch and toured the palace. The attached pictures are from the boat ride and the palace. Tomorrow we go to the Killing Fields and Genocide Museum. Probably
another thought provoking day!

The boat ride
Your blog editor was having a bad hair day, for sure. Pam, I heard some rumor about the skipper having problems trimming the boat. Ultimately he resolved them. Could you give us some details please. Thanks, Adam
