Cheri aboard a Tuk Tuk (photo of a Tuk Tuk to come tomorrow)
Today we said goodbye to 'Nam and moved onto the next country on our trip, Cambodia. We took the lengthy 45 minute plane ride from HCM City to Phnom Penh (Capital of Cambodia).

Cambodia welcomed us into its warm embrace with a lovely ~102 degree day. After we collected our bags and found our driver, we were off...but not for long as our car to the hotel died after a few kms and we had to take a Tuk Tuk (think motorcycle towing a covered wagon) the rest of the way. After a brief stop at the hotel we went around the city and saw the National History Museum (pre-Angkor artifacts), Cambodian Palace, and the Central Market.

Tomorrow we make the 300km journey through the jungle to Siem Reap and the wonders within

Although the Cambodian Crown Jewels are housed here, they are not viewable to the public. We did however, get to go to the first floor which showed various outfits...

Evidently, Cambodian women have a specific color that they wear for each day of the week... fascinating!

On a much cooler note, here is the Silver Pagoda. Named as the floor is made of pure silver tiles. Also, insides a Buddha carved from an emerald (~ 1 foot tall) and a 5 foot tall solid gold future Buddha embedded diamonds. Unfortunately cameras were not allowed

Central Market was in this beautiful French building. However, as it was insanely hot and we had seen the Ben Tham market y'day, we didnt stay long

I expected...
...the next picture after Chris breaking the no-picture rule would be one of Cheri bailing him out of prison.
