Kind of cute. Jeff spent 20 minutes learning how to make swans out of towels :)
Our time on Phu Quoc came to an end despite trying to extend our trip for a couple of days. We even called American Airlines to see if they could rebook us but there weren't any seats available. Sigh. So back to the airport we went and after flights 8 & 9, we ended up back in Cambodia for one night in Phnom Penh. We stayed at an amazing hotel called Hotel Le Royal which has hosted diplomats, Presidents and even Jackie O 😊 It's a really historic hotel and a bit of an oasis in the busy city.

During our brief stay there, we got to check out the Royal Palace, take a walk on the riverfront where there are a bunch of bars and restaurants, and have a nice dinner back at our hotel. We woke up bright and early to catch our flight in continuation of our journey back towards the States with one more stop in Hong Kong.

For those of you who are wondering why we chose this convoluted flight path, we used miles for our tickets and we kind of had to take whatever flights were available. So we flew into Saigon and

The Royal Palace was pretty spectacular and has been home to the king since 1866 except during the reign of the Khmer Rouge in the 1970's

Inside the Silver Pagoda, the floor is literally made entirely of silver. It's amazing.

The Federal Correspondent's Club is an old lounge/bar which was a safe haven for journalists covering the reign of the Khmer Rouge. It has a very cool feel to it and you can just imagine everyone gathering here at night to blow off a little steam
