Damn impressive building, I think Buckingham doesn't have a patch on these !
Got through the border and made it to Cambodia, capital city Phnom Penh. A real chilled out place (Even though this is the capital) and the people are soooo polite and lovely. Smiling faces were ever you go.

The country itself has a terrible history. We went to see a local school which had been used as an interrogation centre for the Pol Pot era and it just leaves you cold. Such attrocities were commited by the Kymer Rouge in a short period of time. We then went to the killing fields today and you really get a feel for the loss of the county. In a 4 year period they lost a quarter of the population in such a brutal way, the Kymer Rouge killed more people than Hitler.

On a more positive note, we went to see the Royal palace which looks like a gold covered birthday cake and is very impressive. Been making the most of the local happy hours and we feel like we've walked the entire length of Cambodia already ! We still manage to stop of regularly for ice creams and Jacky has found banana curry and is in heaven. Monkey

has also made an appearance now as well. Next stop Siem Reap to see the Ankor Wat complex (And to see if Lara Croft is still around).
